ArDrive, the decentralized storage app built on Arweave’s permanent cloud network, has teamed up with NFT.NYC to offer artists an unbreakable solution to digital permanence. All artwork submitted to this year’s NFT.NYC event will be immutably stored via ArDrive, giving creators lasting proof of ownership and authorship—shielded from deletion, censorship, or AI misuse. The partnership, supported by OneHub, empowers artists to maintain control over their legacies in a world where most digital art is hosted on vulnerable, centralized servers.
This isn’t ArDrive’s first preservation mission—it recently rescued Nike’s NFT collection after it vanished from a traditional cloud provider, and has permanently archived blue-chip collections like CrypToadz and Solana Monkey Business. Founder Phil Mataras says the collaboration underscores ArDrive’s goal to democratize permanent data storage and safeguard creative expression. With NFT ownership projected to reach 12 million users by year’s end, the push for durable, on-chain storage is quickly becoming foundational to the NFT ecosystem.
